This year our daytime Spookfest remains with a few changes but we are replacing our nighttime Haunted Hayrides with live entertainment under our pavilion every Saturday night in October from 7 pm to 10 pm. We also have a large Halloween party and
Saddlebag trick-or-treat (like a trunk-or-treat but with motorcycles!) on October 31st.
All decorations and events are family-friendly!
Spookfest is our main fundraiser to help get the farm through the winter when revenue is down and expenses are up. All proceeds from our events go directly to the feed and care of the animals of our sanctuary, many of which have been abused, neglected or saved from slaughter. Help us make this fundraiser a success and give these animals their
"farm life, best life"!

Daytime Spookfest
$10 per person - 2 and under are FREE
Visit us every Saturday in October, including the 31st, from 10 am to 2 pm for fall festivities and a family-friendly Spookfest. All decorations on the farm, including our mini-hayride through our spooky tunnel, are appropriate for young children and those who enjoy Halloween without the scare factor.
In addition to our activities included with admission such as our mini-hayride, petting pasture, wagon train and corn pit we are offering our popular Horse rides for a discount of $10 per rider.
If you plan to fish you must bring your own bait and pole, catch and release only.
Our famous Unicorn will be here to interact with you, including photo opportunities.
Nighttime Spookfest

This year we are trying something new and far less scary! Instead of our Haunted Hayrides, we are offering live entertainment for all ages and scare levels. Food vendors will be on-site. Bring your own chairs and coolers of drinks and enjoy the amazing lineup. Take a spin on our huge covered dance floor and enjoy the relaxing environment of the farm.
*Please note these events are subject to weather. A little sprinkle will not close us, but major rainstorms will cancel nighttime events, so follow us on Social Media and check here on our page for updates on any closures.

Come enjoy a safe and family-friendly place to celebrate Halloween here at Shoofly.
Our Saddlebag Trick-or-Treat is just like a trunk-or-treat, but instead of cars, it's motorcycles! If you have a motorcycle and would like to take part in this unique event, but not the charity ride prior to this, please email the farm so we can reserve a space for you. mOTORCYCLE rIDE
$25 for a single rider - $30 for a rider with a passenger
Shoofly farm is excited to team up with the Punishers Law Enforcement Motorcycle Club and host a charity ride and party at the farm.
The ride will start at Colonial Harley Davidson with a stop for lunch at Indian Fields Tavern in Charles city. The ride will end at Shoofly Farm where we invite all riders to stay and participate in the Saddlebag
trick-or-treating and live entertainment. Riders who want to participate are encouraged to bring a bag of candy to hand out from their motorcycle, which will be lined up with the others in our barnyard around the event pavilion. If you can't fit a bag of candy in your saddlebags, no problem; Shoofly Farm will provide you with one upon your arrival. All bikes are welcome on this ride. There will be food vendors on-site for your evening meal as well as door prizes and a silent auction.
